Responsibilities Responsible for the delivery of patient care for all childbearing clients and their families in a family‑centered setting, by promoting and using the nursing process to meet the needs of the client and their pregnancy. Disciplined coordination and delivery of all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices. Collaboration with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Participation in performance improvement activities. Adherence to nursing functions carried out according to system standards of care, HCA mission statement, and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing. Identification and involvement in performance improvement activities. Documentation and timely recording of patient assessments and interventions in the electronic health record. Communication of changes in patient status or deterioration to appropriate providers (e.g., NP, PCP, Hospice Physician). Support for continuity of care by coordinating transitions to various levels of care as needed. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license. Associate degree in Nursing. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date. Neonate Resuscitation certification within 60 days of employment start date. Two years of clinical experience as a Registered Professional Nurse. One year of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
