Parts ManagerAs a well-known Carrier Refrigeration and Volvo dealership, we have 15 locations throughout Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin and Tennessee. If you describe yourself as a people person and a great communicator, this is the position for you! Job Duties:Actively manage the outside sales team and counter staff to create sales opportunitiesAchieve budgeted goals for sales volume, gross margin, inventory turns and department profitabilityMonitor and control slow and non-moving stock levels within company guidelinesReview part costs and control retail part pricing in accordance with SBU objectivesCoordinate retail visual displays and merchandising efforts to maximize impulse purchasingOversee part warranty and core management procedureUtilize existing tools and work with the centralized inventory control team to maintain an appropriate and efficient part inventory in accordance with approved cost controlsParticipate in trade shows, open houses, and other industry eventsPersonnel ManagementWork with Human Resources to select, hire, train and develop employeesProvide training and guidance for various Parts Department functions, as necessarySupervise and mentor all employees and ensure all duties are completedOther duties as assignedDesired Competencies:Knowledge and experience with parts management or a related field Excellent communication skillsOrganized and detail oriented Team PlayerSelf- Aware: ability to handle stress under pressure Excellent customer service Flexibility to meet changing demands Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with clean driving record 3+ years' experience as a Parts Manager or similar position Benefits:Health, Dental and Vision Insurance401K with company matchingCompany paid Short-term & Long-Term Disability InsuranceAnnual Boot & Tool Allowance This job description is subject to change at any time based on company needs.We're an equal opportunity employer.
