We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented  Logistics Coordinator to join our Production team. This position will coordinate and monitor the entire shipment process from our overseas factories to our U.S. warehouse.

The Logistics Coordinator will verify shipping documents against purchase orders, coordinate vessel schedules with overseas factories, track containers and shipment status, and ensure all goods are shipped and delivered according to the required schedule.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent follow-up skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with overseas factories and internal departments. The successful candidate will take ownership of shipment information and proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Order & Shipping Document Verification

• Review shipping documents and compare all information against approved Purchase Orders (POs).
• Identify discrepancies between POs and shipping documents and follow up with overseas factories for corrections.
• Ensure all shipment information is accurate before documents are distributed. 
• Maintain accurate records of shipping and PO information.

Overseas Factory & Vessel Coordination

• Communicate with overseas factories regarding production completion and shipment readiness.
• Obtain and monitor vessel booking information and shipping schedules.
• Confirm vessel ETD (Estimated Time of Departure) and ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival).
• Follow up with factories and forwarders to ensure shipments are booked and shipped according to the required schedule.
• Monitor changes to vessel schedules and communicate delays or changes to the Production team.

Container & Shipment Tracking

• Track containers from the overseas factory through arrival at the U.S. warehouse.
• Monitor shipment status, including: Vssl schedule, Customs Clearance, and final delivery to warehouse., 
• Maintain an up-to-date shipment tracking report.
• Proactively follow up on delayed or at-risk shipments.
• Identify potential delivery problems early and escalate them to management.
• Ensure overseas goods are delivered to the warehouse on time according to the required delivery schedule.

Internal Communication & Documentation

• Distribute shipping documents and shipment information to: Warehouse, Accounting and Shipping, Produciton team. 
• Provide timely updates regarding shipment status, delays, or changes.
• Ensure all departments have the correct and most current shipment information.
• Maintain organized records of POs, shipping documents, vessel schedules, and container tracking information.

General Production & Logistics Support

• Work closely with the Production team to coordinate overseas shipments.
• Assist in monitoring delivery schedules for production orders.
• Communicate with factories and logistics partners to resolve shipment-related issues.
• Maintain accurate Excel reports and shipment databases.
• Assist with other production and logistics duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Over 7 years of experience in logistics, import/export, purchasing, production coordination, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with overseas factories or international shipments is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documents and order information.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work effectively with overseas factories and internal departments.
• Experience in the apparel or fashion industry is a plus.
