The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:Analyzing engineering drawings, specifications and verbal instruction to plan a manufacturing strategyCreating efficient toolpath machining strategies using MasterCAM for milling programsDeveloping fixtures and work holding jigs for machining unique componentsCreating detailed setup sheets and work instructionsModifying current production programs and fixtures to improve efficiencySetting up and running various CNC machinery (3-axis, 5-axis, EDM, waterjet) and machining prototype or low quantity run parts when requiredOccasionally design 2D wireframe / 3D solid models from a blueprint or sketch to create CNC programsSelect correct programs, loading and setting up tools and parts.Cost new products by providing material cost and processing time for fixturing, as well as set up and run time to produce parts.Perform other varying duties including, but not limited to: completing reports and records, running daily calibrations, basic machine maintenance, training operators, and troubleshooting production issues.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required2+ years' programming experience utilizing MasterCAM X or newer software2+ years' experience working in a Machine Shop - setting up and operating CNC and manual machinesExperience with troubleshooting CNC programsMust be able to read blueprints with an understanding of GD&TAbility to decipher and edit NC code as requiredCommunicate well with others and to interact with individuals on the floor as a team.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a government Security ClearanceComplete salary range for this role: $68,655 - $116,713This position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. federal government contracts that require the employment of only persons who are U.S. citizens.
