CMM Programmer

CMM ProgrammerThe CMM Programmer is responsible for performing inspections and supporting data analysis. Effectively documents and communicates results in a timely fashion to maintain uninterrupted movement within the Manufacturing process. Individual shall also work closely with Quality Assurance, CNC Programmers, Design Engineering, MFG Production & Braze/Special Process to ensure that all inspections are thoroughly completed.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Strive towards a culture of proactive safety.Create CMM programs with PC-DMIS software (From Solidworks models, drawings & applicable documents)Create Absolute Arm programsDocument measurements required for First Article Inspections / AS9102Updating & Managing Microsoft Excel databasesMechanical, Visual & Final InspectionsRecommend new metrology based technologies towards improving our overall capabilitiesComplete quality related and continuous improvement project workParticipate in investigations of root cause and corrective actions / implement preventative actionsOther duties as assigned.Experience:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Level 1, 2 and/or 3 PC-DMIS Certification - PreferredStrong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)Interpret Technical Drawing and Specifications towards ProgrammingSpatial Awareness of basic machining practices & CMM SetupsUnderstanding of Statistical Process Controls / AS9103Understanding of Lean Manufacturing - PreferredAbility to navigate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level is usually moderate, but hearing protection may be required in designated areas.
