Assistant Director of Nursing

As a key member of our leadership team at Pampa Nursing, the Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department. Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, this critical role will play a vital part in ensuring the highest quality patient care and maintaining the highest standards of excellence in nursing practice.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and patient care

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols

• Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, including mentorship, coaching, and training

• Conduct regular rounds to monitor patient care and ensure that patients receive high-quality care

• Develop and manage the nursing budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support patient care

• Foster strong relationships with other departments, including medicine, surgery, and support services, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration

• Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce readmissions

• Participate in hospital-wide committees and task forces to advance nursing practice and patient care

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role in a healthcare setting

• Current RN licensure in the state of Texas

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
