This role offers a structured rotation with a steady case volume, providing the opportunity to work within a collaborative pathology team in a well-supported clinical environment. Position Highlights: Structured 3-day rotating schedule Shared workload among 3 pathologists Approximately 200-250 slides per read day Competitive compensation Travel and lodging accommodations provided Case Volume & Workflow: ~30-50 surgical cases and ~10 cytology cases per day 3-4 hours of grossing every third day Full sign-out responsibility on assigned read days Efficient, team-based workflow model Case Mix Includes: GI, breast, gynecologic, nephrology, and general surgical pathology Hematopathology (limited; bone marrow sent externally) Minimal hematology, limited neuro cases No pediatrics or autopsies Clinical Responsibilities: Perform surgical pathology sign-out and case interpretation Conduct FNA and rapid on-site interpretation (ROSE required) Perform gross examination as part of rotating schedule Collaborate with pathology team for consistent case review and coverage Why Portsmouth?
