Operating Room Manager

Description Job Purpose: Responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of personnel, materials and sterile processing within the operating room. DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ensure adherence to procedures and schedules. Supervise the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies Support quality control and performance improvement plans within the department. Supervise day to day functions of the operating rooms, operating room schedules and sterile processing Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Must be understanding, caring, and patient at all times Ability to multitask Must be flexible in carrying out his/her duties. Knowledge of methods and equipment used in the operating rooms Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 5 years Operating Room Experience minimum 1 year previous progressive leadership experience Education Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred Required Certifications/Licenses Active RN License for State of Texas
