Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend Required | Occasional Float Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving a surgical population including colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, and orthopedics/spine patients
• Maintain a target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Perform IV starts and continuous telemetry monitoring
• Utilize unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• Participate in self-scheduling based on unit needs and nurse manager input, including every-other-weekend shifts
• Float to other units or areas within the facility on an occasional basis as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Proficiency with IV starts and telemetry monitoring required
• Local candidates are welcome to apply (note: a reduced rate applies to candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR documentation systems
• Background in surgical patient populations (colorectal, orthopedics/spine, hepatobiliary, or general surgery)
• First-time travel nurses are accepted for this position
