Receptionist- Oral Surgery

Role Description The Front Desk Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based in Hendersonville, TN and surrounding areas. This role is responsible for greeting patients and visitors, managing check-in and check-out processes, and ensuring a welcoming, professional front office environment. Daily tasks include answering and routing phone calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying patient information, collecting and recording payments, and maintaining organized patient records. The Front Desk Receptionist also supports the clinical team with clerical tasks, coordinates communication between patients and providers, and helps uphold a calm, efficient atmosphere in the reception area. Consistent attendance, reliability, and adherence to patient confidentiality and practice policies are essential. Qualifications Strong receptionist duties and front desk operations skills, including greeting patients, managing appointments, and handling check-in/check-out processes. Professional phone etiquette with the ability to answer, route, and document calls clearly and courteously. Solid clerical skills, such as data entry, record keeping, filing, and basic office software proficiency (e.g., practice management systems, email, and spreadsheets). Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with patients, families, and team members. Demonstrated customer service skills, with a focus on empathy, patience, and problem-solving in a healthcare setting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail. High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in medical or dental front office is preferred.
