Partner 16, Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will work closely with Assistant Controllers, Fund Accounting Managers and other finance staff. The primary responsibility of this role is portfolio company wire confirmation as well as the related general ledger entries and preparation of financial statements. We use enterprise software (AllVue, IPREO, Anaplan, Tres, Salesforce, HazelTree) for efficiency and scale. Generate capital call and distribution mailings Perform wire verification checks, prepare common purchase, valuation and other entries Assist in cash and stock distributions Maintain portfolio tracking reports Work collaboratively and efficiently with the team to complete quarterly and annual financial statements Coordinate with portfolio company counsel and internal legal team as necessary Assist with documentation in accordance with SEC guidelines Assist Controller/Assistant Controller with projects as needed This role requires an in-office presence 2-3 days a week in our San Francisco, CA or Menlo Park, CA office. This role is eligible to participate in the a16z carry program and various discretionary bonus programs as well as benefit and perquisite plans including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K plan, vacation, and sick leave.
