This travel assignment supports a busy ED in a rural, acute care setting. The nurse will provide coordinated care for a patient group, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care in the ED using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Monitor patient status, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments; respond to emergencies; manage rapid patient turnover
- Prioritize care and coordinate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff
- Supervise and direct nursing staff across different levels; delegate tasks as appropriate
- Engage in discharge planning and provide patient/family education to support safe transitions

Requirements
- Current RN license in California
- BLS/CPR required; ACLS (or ARC-ALS) and PALS (or ARC-PALS) required
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ED/acute care experience
- BSN preferred
- Ability to work in a high-acuity ED environment
- Vaccination policy: compliance with applicable vaccination requirements; medical or religious exemptions may apply
- Education: BSN preferred; active, unrestricted state nursing license
