Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit requiring prior skilled nursing or 24/7 care experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

Work in a free-standing 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital with 49 staffed beds.

Inpatient rehab unit serving adults with high acuity needs, including stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions.

Patient ratio of 1:7.

12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.

On-call requirements apply.

Not currently required to float, though floating to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future.

Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards.

Uses vital machines, EKG machines, and blood glucose monitors.

Charts using Epic EMR.

Requirements

Active WI or compact RN license required.

Current BLS certification (AHA) required.

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or another 24/7 skilled care environment required.

Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration.

Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration.

Copies of required certifications must be provided.

Additional Information

Assist CNAs and respond to patient call lights as needed given high-acuity, medical-surgical-like unit functioning.

Accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty programs.

Mandatory 30-minute unpaid break each shift, plus two paid 15-minute breaks.

Staff not permitted to stay past scheduled shift end time without supervisor approval.

Local candidates not accepted.

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility.

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible.

Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time.
