About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Rehab RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53701!

• Provide direct nursing care to adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services, including patients with stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:7 in a high-acuity environment that functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit
• Collaborate with CNAs and respond to call lights to maintain patient safety across the unit
• Utilize mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards, as well as EKG machines, BGM devices, and vital sign equipment
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EHR
• Participate in every-other-weekend and holiday rotations; on-call requirements apply

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
• Ability to adhere to facility attendance, tardy, and scheduling policies, including mandatory 30-minute unpaid meal breaks and two 15-minute paid breaks per 12-hour shift
• Must not exceed shift end time without approval from the house supervisor
• Must live outside the local area - local candidates are not eligible for this position

• Experience in medical-surgical or inpatient rehabilitation nursing
• Familiarity with high-acuity patient populations requiring rehabilitative services
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records

• Work within a CARF-accredited and Joint Commission-accredited inpatient rehabilitation facility offering specialized programs and a mission-driven care environment
• Gain experience in a 49-bed acute rehabilitation hospital serving a diverse patient population with meaningful recovery goals
