About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Rehab RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53701!

• Provide direct nursing care to adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services, including patients with stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions
• Manage a patient assignment within a 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio in a high-acuity inpatient rehabilitation environment that functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit
• Collaborate with CNAs and respond to call lights to support patient safety across the unit
• Utilize mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards, as well as EKG machines, BGM devices, and vital sign monitors
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EHR
• Adhere to facility attendance, scheduling, and timekeeping policies, including mandatory 30-minute meal breaks and clocking out at shift end unless approved by the house supervisor

• Active RN licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Wisconsin)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
• Minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience
• Ability to participate in on-call requirements as assigned
• Must live outside the local area - local candidates are not eligible for this travel position

• Experience in medical-surgical or inpatient rehabilitation nursing
• Familiarity with high-acuity patient populations requiring rehabilitative care
• Prior experience with EPIC EHR
• Comfort working with mobility and assistive equipment in a rehabilitation setting
