Property Claim Representative

A Property Claim Representative is responsible for handling insurance claims filed by policyholders and inspecting damages reported by policyholders. Essential Functions Investigate claims and obtain relevant facts to determine coverage. Write and obtain an agreed estimate of damages when coverage is available. Document claim file activities in accurate and timely manner. Interact effectively with customers, insurance agents, contractors and other personnel involved in the claims process. Specifications / Requirements Strong written and oral communication Sustain a strong knowledge of Microsoft products and basic computer functions Capable of fostering partnership in a fast paced environment Maintain strong organization and time management skills Ability to use logic and to think analytically Education / Experience Bachelor’s Degree 2-5 years of prior experience in the insurance or construction industry Working Conditions The physical work environment for this position involves sitting in an office setting communicating with others face-to-face, electronically and by telephone. Overtime may be required for this position if requested by a supervisor in order to complete a certain given task in a timely manner.
