We are currently hiring for an Associate Scientist opportunity in Cambridge, MA. This is a 12-month contract with the potential for extension, offering $37/hr. Job Details Position: Associate Scientist Location: Cambridge, MA (100% onsite) Pay: $37/hr Duration: 12-month contract Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM About the Role You would join AstraZeneca's Chemical Biology and Proteomics group within Discovery Sciences, supporting drug discovery research through mammalian cell culture, protein conjugation and purification, and mass spectrometry-based proteomics. This is a great opportunity to contribute to research that advances the understanding of therapeutic targets and potential treatments. Key Responsibilities Maintain mammalian cell cultures and prepare cell culture media. Perform protein conjugation, purification, and characterization using UV spectroscopy. Prepare biological samples for proteomics assays and support mass spectrometry-based analysis. Analyze experimental data, maintain electronic laboratory notebooks, and communicate scientific findings. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Chemical Biology, or a related scientific field. Hands-on mammalian cell culture experience. Experience with proteomics sample preparation, mass spectrometry, Western blotting, or other molecular biology techniques is preferred.
