Cost Account Manager

Cost Account Manager (CAM) Location: Huntsville, AL (North Alabama area). The role is part of Leidos’ Defense Systems Manufacturing Sector, working with the Indirect Fire Protection Capability, Tomahawk and BADS programs at our Platform Integration Facility. The CAM manages manufacturing programs and control accounts for major programs, overseeing schedule, cost, and technical performance, and partnering with manufacturing and program leaders to maintain program health. Primary Responsibilities Accountable to the PM and customer to deliver the scope associated within the control account(s) at the agreed cost, schedule, and technical objectives. Manage schedule, cost, and technical performance against the baseline of the control account(s) including managing resources. Aggressively manage the risk and opportunities in the control account(s). Weekly reporting of schedule and cost performance of the control account. Analyze schedule and cost performance, develop variance rationale and recovery plans as needed. Partner with Manufacturing management and shop personnel to develop courses of action to maintain program schedule and cost baselines. Coordinate near‑term schedule and execution plans with Manufacturing. Support proposal activities and business development opportunities. Participate in program reviews. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline with 8 or more years of experience in managing or supporting manufacturing projects. Working knowledge of EVMS and scheduling processes. Previous experience developing cost and schedule baselines for manufacturing projects and reporting recurring schedule and cost performance to those baselines. Demonstrated experience analyzing manufacturing performance on a recurring basis through the life cycle of a program. Knowledge of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB), the change management process, the work authorization process, forecasting Estimates at Completion (EACs), and implementing corrective actions. Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville – North Alabama, AL area. Must be a U.S. citizen and possess (or be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of previous management of a manufacturing program. PMI/PMP Certification. Manufacturing Engineering, Production Control, Master Scheduling, or previous Cost Account Management experience. MBA or advanced technical degree. Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint accounting software. Familiarity with electronic Manufacturing Execution Systems. Previous experience on manufacturing programs/projects that include Welding, Fabrication, Assembly, Integration, and Final Acceptance Testing.
