Client Accounting Specialist

Job Description About the Role: Bredernitz Wagner & Co PC is looking for a detail-oriented Client Accounting Specialist to join their team in Howell, MI. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of clients Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and client accounts Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Generate financial reports and statements for client review Communicate directly with clients to resolve accounting discrepancies and answer inquiries Support tax preparation efforts by organizing and verifying financial data Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms Strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines About Us: Bredernitz Wagner & Co PC is a trusted public accounting firm serving individuals and businesses in the Howell, MI area.
