Description
  • Assess patients across various demographics using established evaluations and observational methods.
  • Craft tailored treatment plans designed to meet both immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language skills, fluency, voice control, and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to ensure holistic care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to support progress beyond clinical interactions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the treatment journey.
  • Keep detailed and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and peer collaboration to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
Education
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified yet.
Certifications
  • State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment techniques spanning all ages, with a thorough understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders both developmental and acquired.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective interactions with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Adaptability to tailor therapy methods to meet varying cultural and language needs.
  • Strong clinical acumen and ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Competence with electronic medical records and documentation practices.
