Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients throughout the lifespan using both established assessments and insightful observational methods.
• Design customized treatment plans tailored to meet both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Implement engaged one-on-one therapies addressing language, speech, fluency, and swallowing needs.
• Work in unison with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families to encourage and support progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Participate in inpatient therapies occasionally, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Maintain accurate and prompt documentation that aligns with state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Commit to professional growth through continuous education and collaboration with fellow clinicians.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet attained.

Certifications

• Current state licensing as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
