- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized measures and observational insights.
- Create individualized treatment strategies that focus on immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver dedicated speech therapy services concentrated on areas such as language, articulation, fluency, voice modulation, and dysphagia.
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and medical professionals to develop unified treatment approaches.
- Provide educational resources and support to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinical settings.
- Engage in occasional inpatient assessments and therapeutic interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the continuum.
- Maintain diligent and timely records, adhering to state and organizational frameworks.
- Stay engaged with the latest advancements in the field through continued learning and teamwork.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting.
- Strong foundation in evidence-based practices across diverse age groups, with deep expertise in developmental and acquired impairments in speech, language, and swallowing.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills for connecting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Flexibility to modify therapy techniques to suit varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
