We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our finance team in Houston.

This role will be responsible for managing customer invoicing, collections, cash applications, account reconciliations, and maintaining strong communication with customers regarding outstanding balances and payment issues.

Responsibilities

· Manage daily accounts receivable activities and customer collections

· Apply customer payments and reconcile AR accounts

· Monitor aging reports and follow up on past due invoices

· Communicate professionally with customers regarding payment status and discrepancies

· Research and resolve invoice disputes, deductions, and short pays

· Coordinate with customer service, logistics, and sales teams to resolve billing issues

· Maintain accurate customer records and documentation

· Assist with month-end closing and AR reporting

Qualifications

· 2+ years of accounts receivable or accounting experience

· Manufacturing or food & beverage industry experience preferred

· Strong organizational and communication skills

· Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Sage experience preferred)

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel

· Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
