Senior Software Engineer-MR Imaging Software

GE HealthCare seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop software components for MRI scanners. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to build reliable, high-quality solutions in Linux environments that directly support medical imaging technology and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software components for MR imaging scanners
- Collaborate with users, systems engineers, and domain experts to define and implement solutions
- Develop software using Agile practices within continuous integration environments
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across software and system environments
- Mentor team members and contribute to collaborative engineering culture
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field
- 8+ years designing, developing, and supporting production software applications
- Strong Unix/Linux development experience
- Experience with distributed systems or microservices-based architectures
- Background building software interfacing with hardware, instruments, or physical devices
- Proficiency with Git, Perforce, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools
- Deep understanding of SDLC including requirements, architecture, implementation, and deployment
