About the Position The Foreman 1 works out of the Nashville office and supervises and coordinates crews on electrical installation, alteration, demolition, maintenance, or repair projects. This role requires mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and strong literacy to successfully accomplish primary duties. Advancement is possible to senior roles or through transfer to skilled trades. Key Responsibilities Meet or exceed project schedules, productivity standards, and monetary budgets. Demonstrate expertise in trade‑related materials, components, equipment, and methods of installation, including safety procedures and trade calculations. Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary for electrical work. Communicate and interface with peers, crew, project supervision, and General Contractor. Coordinate work with the Project Manager, General Contractor, customer, and other trades. Forecast and order manpower, materials, tools, and equipment well in advance. Directly supervise all employees and assign work schedules for subordinate supervision, lead persons, and crew. Complete administrative documentation such as timesheets, labor coding, daily logs, and requisitions. Monitor labor productivity and quality control, directing crews to meet project schedules and quotas. Coordinate equipment rentals and schedule inspections. Prepare detail drawings and instruct employees on tool operation, safe practices, electrical principles, and NEC compliance. Evaluate and discipline employees, troubleshoot electrical circuits, and perform EEW and metering procedures up to 480 V. Physical Requirements Wear a 30‑pound tool belt and perform daily tasks involving bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive arm use. Dig trenches and operate hand or power tools. Operate two‑handed tools, aerial lifts, ladders, and company vehicles. Work a 40‑hour week with possible overtime and off‑hour shifts.
