About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President for E&S Property Underwriting. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of E&S property business, with a strong focus on profitability and growth. This role involves the development and execution of underwriting strategies across various property classes and territories, as well as the evaluation of complex risks, establishment of pricing strategies, and maintenance of underwriting discipline. The VP will also be tasked with building and strengthening relationships with wholesale brokers and distribution partners, particularly in key markets, and will collaborate with executive leadership on production, portfolio management, and business planning initiatives. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of commercial property underwriting experience, with a significant background in the E&S marketplace. A proven track record in underwriting middle market and large property risks, as well as experience with CAT-exposed and complex property accounts, is highly preferred. The role requires strong knowledge of pricing, coverage analysis, risk selection, and portfolio management, and existing wholesale broker relationships within the specified market. Leadership experience, excellent communication, and relationship-building skills are also essential.
