That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.
As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Observation in New Castle, DE , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

DayTimeThur12:00 AM - 08:00 AMHow This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other authorized individuals while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Respond to incidents, behavioral concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and access-control procedures in accordance with facility requirements.
- Prepare accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
