The Volleyball season is August 2026 - October 2026. TCA’s Athletic Department utilizes sports and competition to teach transformational, life-giving biblical truths to each student-athlete. As a coach at TCA you will not only help student athletes improve their athletic ability, you will remind them of the importance of academics, instill a Christian work ethic (Col. 3:23) and help strengthen their faith in Christ.General ResponsibilitiesAttend volleyball practices during off-season and the regular seasonPlan and organize practices coordinating with Assistant Varsity CoachPlan warm-up, conditioning, volleyball drills for practiceDocument and plan weekly biblical character lessons with Team ChaplainAttend all JV volleyball games (home and close away)Assist with ordering for all JV volleyball uniformsResponsible for volleyball tryouts for JVManage miscellaneous itemsOrganize and run parent meetingsCommunicate with parents on a weekly basis (scheduling, updates etc.)Ability to motivate and improve performance of athletesDemonstrate the fruits of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) in daily work, and interactions with students and colleaguesQualificationsA strong commitment to the positive development of the volleyball program at TCAAbility to instill teamwork and community within a group of athletes pointing them to ChristExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience working with JV athletes in volleyballKnowledge of the sport of volleyballAbility to build a good rapport with student and parentsHave a willing heart for service (Ephesians 6:7)Agree with and support TCA’s Doctrinal, Biblical and Mission statements and Christian valuesPhysical, Mental and Environmental RequirementsEye-hand, mind-eye coordination, physical dexterityAbility to bend, stoop, squat, jump and runNormal physical demands of coachingNight hours requiredJob DetailsPosition: Junior Varsity Volleyball Head CoachDepartment: AthleticsSupervisor: Head Volleyball CoachStart Date: August 2026Hours: SeasonalSalary: StipendThe intent of this posting is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees of this job and shall not be construed as a declaration of the total of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position.
