Forensic Court Clinic Operations Coordinator, Correctional Health Services

Position Overview Under the supervision of the Coordinating Manager with latitude for independent initiative, the Assistant Coordinating Manager oversees the daily operations of the relevant Forensic Psychiatric Evaluation Court Clinics. Operations entail the receipt of, scheduling, and efficient processing of all CPL 730 and 390 evaluations referred to the clinic. In addition to the processing of orders, the ACM maintains a safe, professional, and strategically innovative work environment. Technological skill and working knowledge of legal processes preferred. Essential Job Functions Responsible for maintaining the clinic schedules, utilizing directives from executive leadership, clinician schedule, and DOC availability. Notifies building security and DOC liaisons for production of both incarcerated and community defendants to the clinic. Identifies patterns of production and outcomes, to flag for implementation of new initiatives to improve efficiencies within the clinic. Provides outreach to defense attorneys and the court regarding the status of cases and the scheduling of exams. Reviews internal reports to assist with improving production within the clinic. With the oversight of the Coordinating manager, develops plans to drive efficiencies, with adherence to timelines and court appointments. Administrative support as directed by the Coordinating Manager (for a particular location), and/or Associate director (to support department as a whole). Minimum Qualifications A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Community Health, Psychology or related discipline with one year of full-time experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in business management systems, general administration, health care and medical/patient systems administration; or, A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience. Department Preferences An Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling; and Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in health care administration or operations management; or, An equivalent combination of training, education and experience in related fields and educational disciplines. #J-18808-Ljbffr NYC Health + Hospitals
