A well-established aerospace and defense organisation supporting long-term NASA and complex space programs is seeking an Opto-Mechanical Engineering Manager to join its growing team in San Diego. This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to someone who enjoys balancing technical ownership with team development. The Role: Lead opto-mechanical development across complex aerospace programs Manage a small team of engineers while remaining technically involved Own key technical decisions and contribute to proposals and customer discussions Work across high-reliability hardware systems About You: Mechanical Engineering background with strong optical systems experience Experience delivering complex aerospace or precision hardware systems Previous team leadership experience Proficient in SolidWorks or Creo Space experience preferred, aerospace or automotive lidar backgrounds also considered This is a high-impact role within a stable, long-term program environment, offering technical depth and leadership growth. #J-18808-Ljbffr
