CT Technologist

Perform diagnostic CT procedures ensuring high-quality imaging while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Responsible for equipment calibration, patient preparation, and imaging documentation to support accurate radiologic assessments.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT equipment using appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce optimal diagnostic images.
• Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all imaging equipment.
• Inject patients with radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures, equipment issues, and quality assurance activities.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines, including ALARA principles, to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Prepare and retrieve patient images and data for radiologist review and interpretation.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an JCERT-accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Hold a valid New York State License (L.R.T) and ARRT certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing CT procedures per prescribed protocols.
• Possess strong judgment to assess patient needs before, during, and after imaging procedures.
• Ability to verify radiopharmaceutical doses and receive radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with policies.
