Commercial Lender

A community bank in Iowa City is confidentially looking for a self-motivated Commercial Lender to grow and manage business relationships across Johnson County and east central Iowa. You'll handle business development, underwriting, structuring, closing, and servicing for owner-operated firms and commercial real estate clients.

Responsibilities:

Map each client's goals to the right loan and deposit mix
Introduce treasury tools and other bank services where they add value
Steward and deepen an existing commercial book over time
Hit agreed loan and deposit growth targets
Set up and onboard new business deposit relationships
Judge credit quality and prepare memos plus closing paperwork

Qualifications:

Business or finance four-year degree preferred
Client-facing commercial lending background
Comfortable presenting deals and talking with owners
Experience building proposals and underwriting credits
Keeps several active deals organized at once
Local Iowa City business ties are a plus
