Senior Project Manager - Transportation

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager - Transportation to lead the delivery of complex transportation infrastructure projects throughout Connecticut and the Northeast. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in highway and roadway design, client management, and project delivery. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in growing client relationships and expanding our transportation practice. This position will be based in New Haven or Hartford, CT. Key Responsibilities Manage transportation projects from planning and design through construction support. Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including state and local agencies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Oversee project schedules, budgets, resource planning, and quality control. Mentor and develop project managers and junior engineering staff. Support business development activities, including proposals, presentations, and client engagement. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local design standards and regulations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Connecticut PE preferred 15+ years of transportation engineering and project management experience. Proven experience managing highway, roadway, and transportation infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) standards and project delivery processes. Experience working with municipalities, state agencies, and federal transportation programs. Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
