PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care across a diverse age range, including pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.

Shift Details

Position: Days
Rotating shifts: 2x8 hours (07:00-15:30) and 2x10 hours (07:00-17:30)
Hours of operation: 07:30-20:30
Weekly hours: 36 hours

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the PACU setting.
Monitor and assess patients' conditions during the recovery period.
Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to implement patient care plans.
Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Provide assistance and care for patients with diverse health needs.

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
Experience in PACU or related nursing specialty preferred.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Work Requirements

Flexible scheduling to accommodate rotating shifts and patient needs.
Availability for holiday shifts and weekends, specifically every other weekend.
Floating may be required within the specialty or other units as needed.
Participation in on-call rotations as scheduled.

Contract Length: 16 weeks
Start Date: 11/2/26
