Epic Applications Analyst

Salary: $135,200 - 166,400 per year Requirements:

• We require an Associates or Bachelors degree in Healthcare IT, Information Systems, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
• We are looking for 2–4 years of experience supporting healthcare IT environments, with a strong focus on Epic EHR applications and hospital billing processes.
• Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) certification or accreditation is required.
• Additional credentials such as SBO, Claims, CPHIMS, or CAHIMS are preferred.
• We expect solid knowledge of hospital revenue cycle operations, patient financial touchpoints, self-pay billing logic, and healthcare price transparency compliance.

• We build, test, and maintain Epic Hospital Billing workflows that support patient liability, self-pay billing, billing cycles, and payment plans.
• We configure and refine Epic Patient Estimate functionality to deliver accurate pre-service out-of-pocket estimates based on benefits, deductibles, co-pays, and fee schedules.
• We design and support front-end financial processes for collecting co-pays and deductibles at scheduling, check-in, and other point-of-service touchpoints.
• We develop and maintain patient statement logic, dunning workflows, balance-after-insurance rules, and electronic statement delivery.
• We manage, monitor, and troubleshoot HL7 and file-based integrations with third-party vendors such as payment gateways, statement printing partners, financial counseling tools, and collection agencies.
• We partner with Patient Financial Services, Patient Access, and clinical operations to translate business needs into system configuration.
• We investigate tickets, resolve workqueue issues, perform unit and integrated testing, and enhance system build to improve patient financial experience and workflow efficiency.
