Position Overview A leading Am Law 100 firm is seeking a Special Counsel with 6+ years of experience to join its Litigation team in New York. The role offers significant responsibility and the opportunity to work on complex insurance and reinsurance disputes within a commercially focused, results‑driven practice. Responsibilities The team handles high‑stakes matters spanning pretrial strategy, discovery, trial and appellate work, with a strong emphasis on arbitration proceedings. The successful candidate will draft complex submissions, prepare witnesses, manage expert discovery, and play an active role in trial and arbitral advocacy. Qualifications Applicants must hold a JD or LLM from an ABA‑accredited law school, be admitted or eligible for admission in New York, and have experience in complex litigation. An insurance or reinsurance background is preferred. The role requires strong written and oral advocacy skills, the ability to manage demanding clients and competing priorities, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative working style.
