OverviewEpstein is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Civil engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of civil engineering design experience specific to transportation and roadways with clients such as IDOT, CDOT, Illinois Tollway and local municipalities. All candidates must understand the plan development process from inception through completion. We are looking for a strong technical leader with Microstation and Open Road Designer experience. We are looking for the right person to lead technical teams, interact with clients on our local community enhancing projects. General ResponsibilitiesPreparing analysis and design calculations according to the applicable design standards, using appropriate computer programs as appropriatePreparing technical reports, contract plans, specifications and construction cost estimatesMentoring junior engineering staff in technical and project developmentCoordination with clients, subconsultants and other disciplinesRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer (PE)12+ years of successful project experienceProficiency in Microstation is a mustOpen Roads Designer experience is a plusKnowledge of Illinois Department of Transportation or Illinois Tollway design standards, procedures and specifications is preferredStrong analytical, interpersonal and communication skillsStrong technical leader with financial project management including scheduling, contract control, budget and cost controlConsiderable experience in dealing with clients, contracts and vendorsSuccessful experience supporting multiple projectsEpstein offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and accident insurance, flexible benefit plans, transportation benefits, employee assistance plan and parental leave. Employees are also eligible for discretionary annual bonuses based on both company and individual performance.
