Purchasing Agent

Purchasing & Logistics Agent Location: Dothan, AL. Job Type: Full-Time. We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Logistics Agent to manage purchasing activities, inventory levels, supplier relationships, and domestic/international logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience coordinating shipments and vendors, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers Process purchase orders, invoices, and maintain purchasing records Monitor inventory levels and coordinate deliveries to support production schedules Resolve issues related to shortages, damaged goods, and order discrepancies Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including transportation arrangements and shipment tracking Prepare and process shipping documentation, invoices, bills of lading, export/import documents, and related records Communicate with customers, vendors, freight carriers, and overseas partners to ensure timely delivery Analyze purchasing costs and freight expenses to support cost-saving initiatives Maintain accurate shipment and purchasing files while providing excellent customer service Qualifications Manufacturing experience preferred ERP system experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of logistics systems and transportation processes Basic understanding of international shipping regulations and documentation Some college preferred Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment Personnel Resources an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Personnel Resources, Inc.
