Security Officer Armed Checkpoint Screener – Miami, FL As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. You will monitor access points, screen visitors and property, and perform routine patrols to help support a professional environment. You will remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule Sat 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM Sun 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Screen visitors, employees, and/or personal items using approved access control and inspection procedures while following post orders and reporting protocols. Respond to incidents, prohibited items, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, and communicate observations to site leadership when appropriate. Monitor entry points and help deter unauthorized access by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and maintaining orderly processing of arrivals. Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and the perimeter, as assigned, since working environments and conditions may vary by location. Minimum Requirements Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Possess a college degree. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a corrections officer license. Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree with 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate. Possess a law enforcement officer license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
