Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We're hiring a Staff Pharmacist for a full time contract opportunity with a long term care pharmacy in Minneapolis, MN. This is a great opportunity for retail pharmacists looking to transition into the LTC setting, with training provided and the potential to gain valuable long-term care experience.

Position Details

8 week contract
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Flexible shifts between 9:30 AM - 8:30 PM
- 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
- 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- 11:00 AM - 8:30 PM
Rotating Saturdays and Sundays
Competitive weekly pay
Full time benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

Responsibilities

Verify and dispense prescription medications accurately
Review medication profiles for safety, appropriateness, and compliance
Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications
Monitor for drug interactions, adverse effects, and medication-related concerns
Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation
Prepare and compound medications, including sterile preparations as needed
Assist with inventory management and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff

Requirements

Active Minnesota Pharmacist License in hand
Retail or long-term care pharmacy experience
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including rotating weekends
Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills
Willingness to learn and work in a long-term care pharmacy setting
