Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy in the Minneapolis area is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for an 8-week contract position starting ASAP. This role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts between 9:30 AM and 8:30 PM, including weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and in compliance with legal requirements
• Monitor patient medication adherence and detect patterns of over-usage
• Ensure prescribed medicines are appropriate and safe for patients
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files meticulously
• Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions
• Offer additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management
• Educate patients on the correct use and maintenance of medical devices like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions according to protocol
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks
• Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory efficiently
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare practitioners to resolve drug-related patient issues

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• MN pharmacist license in hand
• Willingness to accept and train retail pharmacists
• Competency in supervising staff and handling patient consultations
