Accounts Receivable Clerk

You are a multi tasker able to work independently while performing a wide range of credit & accounts receivable tasks and able to support other members of the team.
Reporting to the Credit Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate interdepartmentally as it relates to group and guest issues
- Participate in training activities to improve knowledge skills
- Communicate well with all clients and guests anticipate and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor supervise and prepare month-end balance sheet account reconciliation
- Prepare forecast vs. actual group commissions and communicate variance to Director of Finance
- Prepare and generate timely group catering and wedding billing and process payment
- Inspect in-house accounts to ensure adherence to resorts credit policy and assist with collection efforts as necessary
- Monitor accounts receivable (aging) as required
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
- Assist in the month end reporting and procedures
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
- Follow all safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Hospitality accounting or equivalent experience required
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications or relevant computer applications required Opera PMS experience desirable
- University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask in a high-speed environment
- Attention to detail a must
- Ability to adhere to deadlines
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Remain calm and courteous at all times
