Auto Part Shipping Specialist and Field Technician

Modern Imports, an Automotive Recycling Facility in St. Louis that specializes in parts for Foreign and European vehicles, has an immediate full-time position open for an Automotive Parts Removal and Shipping Employee. The majority of this position involves removal of used parts from vehicles in our facility in a timely manner. This position requires general mechanics tools for late model vehicles.

Various duties that are assigned to this position include but is not limited to:

• Removing car parts directly from vehicles or in our warehouse when ordered by customers in an outdoor setting.
• Quality checking and marking each part, preparing and or boxing the parts for shipping.
• Assisting customers/vendors with loading/unloading parts into vehicles.
• Inventory restock/updating, and Quality Control checks on parts in location.
• Receiving parts ordered from other Salvage yards, checking them into the system, and moving them where they need to go.
• Operating computer based inventory and shipping software.

Forklift and prior Automotive knowledge/experience is a huge plus, positive attitude, tools, and being a self-starter is a MUST.

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Detail-oriented mindset with an excellent safety record
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
• Ability to lift 75lbs or more
• Basic computers skills
• Forklift experience a plus
• A team-based attitude for getting the job done
• Drug and background screening

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
