Hr Support/payroll Specialist

Human Resources Coordinator
Position is fully onsite 5 days a week!
Responsibilities
- Process and audit semi-monthly or bi-weekly payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity within HRIS systems.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
- Coordinate open enrollment and communicate with employees regarding benefits.
- Track leaves of absence and serve as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries.
- Coordinate with external vendors, such as payroll and benefits brokers.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including pre-employment checks and new hire orientation.
- Assist with job postings, candidate scheduling, and recruiting coordination.
- Maintain and update HR policies, SOPs, and compliance documents.
- Run standard HR reports and support audits, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
- Support training coordination and HR initiatives.
- Provide basic HR guidance to employees, excluding employee relations issues.
- Manage and coordinate the CEO's calendar, scheduling meetings and preparing materials.
- Prepare and reconcile expense reports and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Assist with preparation of presentations and serve as a liaison between the CEO and internal teams.
- Support special projects and ad hoc requests from the CEO.
- Assist with office coordination activities and maintain HR files and documentation.
- Support cross-functional administrative needs across departments.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in HR, HR coordination, or a similar administrative role.
- Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and expense platforms such as Concur.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a medical device, biotech, or regulated environment.
- Familiarity with multi-state compliance, particularly in WA and CA.
- Exposure to onboarding workflows, audits, or compliance documentation.
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR.
Work Environment
The role is within a fast-paced, growing medical device organization, collaborating with an HR team supporting approximately 165 employees across various locations. It requires a balance of structured HR processes and flexibility to support executive functions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
