Maintenance Technician
Location: South Charlotte, NC
Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay: $25-$27 per hour

Job Summary We're hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to help keep our facility and production equipment running at peak performance. This role involves hands-on work maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, mechanical systems, and facility infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as replacing filters, belts, and lubricating moving parts on fans, pumps, and motors.
• Diagnose and repair issues with mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
• Install and maintain copper, steel, and PVC piping systems throughout the facility.
• Partner with fellow technicians to identify root causes of equipment problems and suggest improvements.
• Assist engineers with new machinery installations and equipment upgrades.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to prevent equipment failures and ensure safe operation.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer manuals to complete tasks accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred).
• At least 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, gears, and bearings.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs. and work safely from ladders or elevated platforms.
• Experience with chillers, cooling towers, and air handling units a plus.
• HVAC and basic electrical knowledge (motors, wiring, controls) preferred.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
