Licenses/Certifications: Active Physician Assistant license, BLS/ACLS preferred

Experience: Previous ICU, OR, or cardiac surgery experience preferred

What You'll Do

• Provide rounding and patient care in ICU, pre and post-cardiac surgery units
• Manage patients coming off ventilators and after open heart, VATS, and lung surgeries
• Assist with patients emerging from OR procedures including vein harvesting
• Collaborate with surgical teams and multidisciplinary staff to coordinate care
• Monitor patient status and update care plans as necessary
• Ensure high standards of patient safety and quality care
• Document patient interactions and procedures accurately

What You Need

Required:

• Active Physician Assistant license in Texas
• Prior ICU or surgical experience preferred
• Ability to work 7 AM 7 PM shifts
• Ability to manage multiple patients in fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• Experience with cardiac or thoracic surgery patients
• OR experience including vein harvesting
