Packaging Technician

Purpose The Packaging Technician position is responsible for executing daily duties within the Packaging department at an effective pace with accuracy to achieve weekly objectives, packaging dried cannabis products appropriately. The technician must maintain efficient productivity, accuracy, professionalism, and safety consistently. The position reports to the Lead of Packaging and the Manager of Post‑Harvest. Pay is $18.00/hour. Procedures & Tasks Support the Lead and Manager of Packaging to package pre‑pack and shelf‑flower products, create and package joints and blunts, confirm packaging accuracy, and assist with order fulfillment for product export. Operate equipment and machinery safely, maintaining and troubleshooting to sustain performance. Achieve quality objectives consistently across assignments. Organize and report data in spreadsheets and logs accurately. Maintain packaging quotas, work timely, and strive to increase productivity. Assist other departments (Post‑Harvest, Production, cleaning, light maintenance) as needed. Training Requirements Follow direction and training from the Lead of Packaging and Manager of Post‑Harvest at the Buckeye Lake, OH facility. Engage actively to meet high‑standard cultivation practices consistently and compliantly. Receive training aligned with PharmaCann’s mission and leadership development. Understand compliant operation within state laws and regulations. Workspace and Material Maintenance Perform regular cleaning and maintenance on work surfaces, tools, and equipment (e.g., scissors, tables, floors). Follow SOPs for cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing processing department areas. Maintain a safe, well‑organized work area and support associates. Clean and organize equipment or supplies after use per SOPs. Compliance and Reporting Conduct final packaging checks to ensure products comply with regulations. Follow all state and federal compliance regulations. Report any non‑compliance or safety violations to Supervisory staff. Record input data for METRC plant tags as instructed. Supervision Works under the direct supervision of the Lead of Packaging and the Manager of Post‑Harvest. Job Requirement Available as needed to fulfill responsibilities. Eligible for employment under state and federal laws. Working Conditions Use of computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods. Navigate a typical office, manufacturing, and warehouse environment in a fast‑paced setting. Wear proper PPE at all times during scheduled shifts. Kneel, bend, reach, rotate, and stoop regularly. Lifting up to 30 pounds occasionally. Maintain consistent on‑time attendance for all scheduled shifts (40‑hour week with occasional overtime). Job Qualifications Work Experience Preferred: 3 months employment with the company. Preferred: 1 year of commercial cannabis and/or packaging experience. 1 year of work experience in a related industry or environment. Experience in a fast‑paced production environment preferred. Consistently meet productivity and performance requirements. High attention to detail. Professional, respectful demeanor; clear verbal and written communication.
