Job Description\n Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Greensboro, North Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n The Emergency Department Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the emergency room setting or other emergent critical care areas.\n Essential Duties and Responsibilities: \n \n \n Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care\n Uses clinical judgment to manage delivery of patient care safely and effectively\n Triages effectively according to the severity and critical nature of patients’ condition\n Comprehensively assesses a patient’s needs, obtaining their medical history and personal information, and seeking a doctor’s evaluation immediately for life-threatening issues\n Communicates with other medical professionals involved in the patient’s care in a timely manner\n Identifies and recognizes abnormal symptoms and changes in patient condition, established priorities, and takes appropriate action\n Carries out providers orders accurately and timely\n Performs, delegates, and supervises patient care activities within the scope of practice to meet the age-appropriate patient care needs\n Performs and/or assists in emergency treatment as required in accordance with RN scope of practice\n Follows emergency policies, procedures and protocols in an effective manner\n Assesses the patient’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, social, and educational needs\n Develops, implements and updates patient’s plan of care, including the education and discharge plan based on evidence-based practice standards and patient/family needs in collaboration with multi-disciplinary healthcare team\n Performs other duties as assigned\n \n \n Minimum Requirements:\n \n \n Current Registered Nurse License within the state of practice\n Minimum of one year emergency room experience preferred\n Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice\n Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable\n Current CPR if applicable\n TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable\n Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)\n Must meet all federal, state and local requirements\n Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site\n Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements \n Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required \n Computer proficiency required\n Must be at least 18 years of age \n \n \n \n Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: \n \n Competitive pay & weekly paychecks\n Health, dental, vision, and life insurance\n 401(k) savings plan\n Awards and recognition programs\n *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status. \n About Amergis Amergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, has served our clients and communities by connecting people to the work that matters since 1988.
