Job Description ByteCubed is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our rapidly growing IT consulting firm at our headquarters in Arlington, Virginia . The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic team environment, responsible for creating and maintaining automation frameworks and test suites that certify product quality and rapidly uncover defects. Responsibilities included, but not limited to : Develop and build automation frameworks and tests for regression test suites Develop and maintain tools for automation tracking and reporting Maintain and update automated test systems as product functionality is updated Be an advocate for the end user Verify software meets the requirements Perform unit and system-level testing of applications Work with QA engineers to develop testing protocol to identify and correct defects Establish best-practice development standards by working with developers Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field 3+ years of professional software development and hands‑on test automation development experience, ideally in either .NET/Java Knowledge and experience writing custom test automation scripts/frameworks Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software engineering fundamentals Experience working in agile/scrum programming environment Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration and continuous delivery applications Experience in testing RESTful web services and backend APIs Desire to improve the software development process Due to nature of the work performed for our clients, US Citizenship is required.
