Speech Language Pathologist
EdAdvance is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to deliver early intervention (Part C IDEA) services. Major responsibilities include home visitation with infants, toddlers, and their families, conducting developmental screenings and/or eligibility evaluations, collaborating with clinical teams, families, and other professionals, participating in the development of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), and assisting with the transition to preschool programming and other community supports.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and the ability to develop effective relationships. Excellent interpersonal skills are also essential.
Qualifications/requirements include being a CT licensed/certified speech therapist with a MA/MS CCC, SLP, experience with infants, toddlers, and families, and service coordination training (or willingness to obtain). Physical requirements include frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and therapeutic holding as required, and the ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodations.
The position requires home visitation and regional travel throughout the Torrington area. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and car insurance.
